Having practiced nutrition counseling and lifestyle medicine for more than a decade, one simple insight has become increasingly and abundantly clear:

Many—if not most—patients I’ve worked with have one to three underlying factors or influences that are both driving the specific health issues they are facing, and also getting in the way of implementing solutions.

For some, it might be sleep. For others, emotional eating or stress at work. Sometimes, it’s a combination of a few. That’s why we work with you to first understand your specific health and lifestyle circumstances.

Areas we look at include any current illnesses or health issues, your metabolic health indicators, any micronutrient deficiencies, as well as social support networks, food habits, cultural influences, sleep and physical activity routines, and stressors such as work- or family-related pressures.

We work with you to develop strategies that play to your specific strengths and opportunities, while addressing the underlying causes that we have identified together.

Once we have a complete picture, we can work with you to identify what may be contributing to any health challenges you are facing, as well as what may be limiting your ability to respond.

We then tailor our 12 week intensive counseling program to specifically address what we have learned. And we work with you to develop strategies that play to your specific strengths and opportunities, while addressing the underlying causes that we have identified together.

The goal is not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, it’s to empower you with both a deeper understanding of what factors influence your health, and equip you with a specific set of tools that are directly relevant to your life circumstances.
